For professionals
Evidence for a claim file, flown and referenced to your standard

Why instruct one
Why instruct a flown pack rather than a site visit
Full roof coverage in one visit
Every elevation photographed at 100 megapixels, including the sections that are not visible from any accessible point on the ground, a ladder, or ground-level photographs supplied by a policyholder.
No access equipment and no delay booking it
No scaffold, no tower, no ladder against a wall that may itself be storm-affected. A flight can usually be arranged faster than a physical access booking, which matters on a claim with a service standard to meet.
A second opinion on a policyholder's own photographs
Where a policyholder has already supplied phone photographs, a flown pack gives an independent, dated, resolution-matched record to check them against, rather than relying on angles chosen by someone standing in a garden.
Thermal where it is relevant
Where water ingress is suspected but not visually obvious, the second aircraft's radiometric thermal camera can be added to the same visit to help trace it, rather than commissioning a separate specialist visit.
Instructing
How to instruct one
- Step 1
Send the instruction
Address, claim reference, storm date, and any specific areas already flagged by the policyholder or a previous visit.
- Step 2
Booking and airspace check
The address is checked for airspace restrictions and access before a date is confirmed, and that date is communicated back with the fixed price.
- Step 3
The flight
Full roof coverage plus close, referenced detail on every area of concern, whether already known or found during the flight itself.
- Step 4
The pack, filed to your reference
Delivered by email within 48 hours of the flight, addressed to the claim or file reference given, with the full resolution image set included.
What is, and is not, in scope
A flown pack is a photographic record of visible roof condition and storm damage, referenced and dated. It is not a structural engineer's report, not a cause-of-loss determination, and not a repair estimate. Where a finding needs a specialist opinion beyond what a photograph can support, the pack says so rather than reaching a conclusion it cannot back up.
Multiple properties or a panel arrangement
For agents or adjusters handling several affected properties from the same storm event, addresses can be grouped and routed on the day they are geographically close, and each still gets its own separately referenced pack. Get in touch with the list and it comes back with a realistic schedule and a total.
On the record
Registrations, kit and cover
CAA registered
Operator ID and Flyer ID held, plus the A2 Certificate of Competency. Registration and insurance details go over with the pack as a matter of course, because most adjusters and agents need both on file before they can act on it.
100 megapixel camera
A DJI Mavic 4 Pro with a Hasselblad camera and 6K video. The resolution is what lets a single slate or a torn edge of felt be cropped into and still hold together, which matters when a photograph is the evidence.
Radiometric thermal
A DJI Mavic 2 Enterprise Advanced carrying a 640 by 512 thermal camera, used where water may already be tracking into the structure through storm damage and needs tracing rather than guessing at.
Insured with Coverdrone
Full commercial cover for the operation. A certificate is supplied with the pack without anyone having to chase for it, which is usually one of the first things a loss adjuster or managing agent asks for.
